I got started as a fashion designer on the runway in 2013.... l always wanted to be one, but it was my customers at my Gulfport, MS Face 2 Face VIP Boutique hair salon that really inspired me. They loved my style and all my trending fashion heels, handbags and accessories.

I lived in Atlanta already and open my first store there in the fashion and beauty industry 2009.

 

Everything really took off after my hair salon was published in OKHAIR Magazine and went to the Walk Fashion Runway Show in Atlanta in 2016.

 

The success of it has been overwhelming, surprising and exciting!

 

The challenges I had was trying to make everyone happy instead of sticking to what my vision and mission was. Also, protocol and order is another big challenge when working with unprofessionals in the industry.

My advise: I would give to someone who’s just trying to come into the business because it "looks easy." Don’t do it if it’s not your passion and called from above. The ones is called to this step out on faith, believe God for the impossible and watch him do the possible, no matter how hard it gets, no matter how many no's you get - keep dreaming, keep creating, keep visualizing, and keep thriving until you reach the top of where you want to be.
